In 2019, over 4.3 billion people used the Internet worldwide. It is over 1 billion people more than a year ago. Over 50% of Internet traffic was generated by mobile devices. Almost one in ten transactions for the purchase of goods or services in the US takes place online.

It was an important year also for us. It brought many changes. Many new functionalities have been added to the SurveyLab. Our software is used by customers in 40 different countries, on 6 continents. Below are the most important changes and functionalities that we have introduced last year. It was all possible thanks to you. Our customers. Thank you 🙂

Surveys available to visually impaired people

December

SurveyLab has become more friendly for blind and visually impaired people. We have implemented a solution that allows you to complete surveys using a computer keyboard and we have added support for screen reader software.

WHO estimates that there are over 285 million people with sight deficits worldwide, including 39 million people who are blind. A large part of the Internet is still unavailable to them. We are trying to change this, which is why we attach great importance to increasing the availability of our surveys.

AI

September

We have introduced the first mechanism based on artificial intelligence (AI). Thanks to this, SurveyLab is able to estimate and prompt how much time the respondent will need to complete the survey. This is just the beginning. We are planning more changes in this area.

It is estimated that 77% of consumers currently use various forms of AI in everyday life. Only 33% are aware of this. AI improves the quality of photos taken with a mobile phone, serves customers (usually in the form of online chat), assesses creditworthiness, suggests which products you should additionally buy when shopping online.

360 feedback

August

We have improved the functionalities related to the 360-degree feedback surveys. We’ve added new views showing both the perspective of assessed people and respondents. We’ve also changed the look of the 360 survey reports.

360 surveys give you the opportunity to look at the issue from different perspectives. They are especially popular in the area of HR, but also in sales and marketing. So wherever we want to meet and compare different points of view, e.g. manager, employee, colleague, customer.

Do you like the surveys that Uber or Booksy displays to its users after each completed transaction? With SurveyLab you will create similar surveys for your customers. We’ve added two new types of graphic questions – a star rating question and a yes / no question.

Uber in 2019 had over 100 million active users around the world who used the service more than 1.5 billion times. Booksy had 2 million users in 80 countries.
